Glassblowing Experiences at Firebird Community Arts

Looking for a unique corporate team building experience or a one-of-a-kind private event in Chicago? Firebird Community Arts invites your group to step into our professional glassblowing studio for a hands-on, unforgettable experience. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, bonding with coworkers, or just looking to try something extraordinary, our teaching artists will guide you through the ancient craft of glassblowing, no experience required.

Choose your Experience

Demonstration — $350 per group

Sit back and watch the magic happen. A Firebird teaching artist will walk your group through a live glassblowing demonstration, explaining technique and history as molten glass takes shape before your eyes. Perfect for larger groups or those who prefer to observe.

Hands-On Experience — $95 per person

Roll up your sleeves and make something real. Working side-by-side with a teaching artist, each participant will create their own glass piece (a paperweight, bowl, or cup) to take home as a lasting memento. All activities are customizable and can include collaborative team-built projects, company branding, or other individual pieces.

A needs-based sliding scale is available for groups who cannot meet the standard pricing. Just let us know.

How to Book

We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. To get started, email bookings@firebirdcommunityarts.org with the following information:

  • The number of people in your group (and ages, if anyone is 17 or younger)

  • Your name and organization, or details about the occasion

  • Your preferred dates and times

  • Any accessibility needs or accommodations — we'll do our best to make it work for everyone

Cancellation Policy

Payment is not processed until one week before your scheduled event. Please note that we are unable to issue refunds for cancellations — if your group size changes, you will be billed for the number of spots originally booked.
