Chinyere is a Chicago transplant, originally from Baltimore, MD. Since moving to Chicago in 2016, she’s found a true passion in youth development. Her passion carries over in her work as she’s found a home at Firebird Community Arts, aiming to increase their visibility for the sake of empowering and connecting people through artmaking. Chinyere has faced much adversity in life but her consistent creative practices continues to keep her grounded and centered. Her committment to Chicago youth shines through in her role as Communications & Development Associate and when she’s interacting with Firebird youth, learning from their experiences.
